Sprague The BoomChef Mark I is a solar grill intended to cook hotdogs at boomerang competitions. Hunting with boomerang by Boomerang Talk This happened yesterday morning. While an MTA is hovering, a small bird flew by. Then, it made a sudden Uturn and tried to attack (?) the stick. Unfortunately, 4"/50g bird was no match to the 20g spinning stick. It fell and fluttered for a few minutes, but it died peacefully on my palm. There was no blood or wound, just a blunt trauma.... USBA Nationals in Dallas by Tibor Horvath Taking a red eye from Vancouver to Dallas just to arrive hours before the competition starts is usually no problem. Add a 16 month old lap child to the mix and the journey becomes tiresome.... High-tech MTAs by Manuel Schuetz Here's a selection of the carbon composite MTAs (Maximum Tima Aloft) I've made in the past 6 years. Reflections by Bob Burwell The Boomerang World Cup competition has come and gone. I planned for some time to go to Seattle and be a part of the activities. I have been retired for six years now and am reliant on a fixed income. Occasionally I skim a little from a small superannuation nest egg to cover me for special events. Over the last number of months I and millions of others have seen that nest egg shrink significantly... How the Goldmembers experienced the worlds by Tibor Horvath At breakfast we discussed our goals for this world cup. We being the Goldmembers the Canadian boomerang team or more precise John Cross, Emmanuel Dumont, Stephane Marguerite, Eric Promislow, Louis Poirier and myself. We were split between reaching the top ten and not coming last. I think our expectations were reasonable... Cut Credits Cards in style by Golbguru Dave Ramsey is going to be happy with me for writing this post. Normally, I don’t subscribe to Ramsey’s psychology and I don’t recommend cutting up credit cards (at least not valid, unexpired ones that can still be used). But, I was just re-reading one of my long-time favorite books “Physics for Entertainment” and suddenly thought of using credit cards for one of the *entertaining* experiments suggested in the book... |
