How to be part of the virtual competition family:
Actually a real inscription is not necessary. Make arrangements to meet with your local boomerang mates or compete on your own. This year we have 4 appointed weekends. If you took part on at least 3 events, we try to recalculate an overal result as well.
The VT was first held in Germany by the DBC (Deuscher Bumerang Club), but, of course, you don´t have to be member of the DBC or any other institution. We are proud and very happy to get any thrower or even international competitors like you involved! If you like, also leave a message on your favourite webbord and add information on where and when you compete. Other throwers of your region might want to join your event.
Tournament sequence:
1.During competion all is in your hands: 2 m bullseye and 20 m range check should be done. Warm up sessions and throwing rounds are strongly recommended to avoid injury and surely are always allowed. It`s for our fun and sport! But: as you decide to start one of the disciplines, this result counts- just as thrown in real competition.
2.For the finals this data is needed: name, email and postal address plus your results. Please send everything to: Torsten@bumerangclub.de. If you want, take some photos and drop a few lines on www.canboom.org. This way we all create our own Web 2.0 Thanks Tibor! Ideal are additional comments about weather and wind conditions. If you know how: add the Goggle Earth position of your throwing field (e.g. 53°27'52.18"N 9°58'18.72"E).
3.The finals are available on Tuesday evening after the VT, on: www.Bumerangclub.de and www.canboom.org.
Important:
If you take part, you testify your understanding and acception of the following points:
·Throw safely and take care of others and yourself! In doubt check the available safety instructions in the web. (e.g. http://www.boomerangs.com/safety.html).
·You know the rules of a standard individual boomerang competition.
·In case you participate in another boom event while the VT is held,or your result is send after Monday 20.00h pm Central European Time: this result is not accepted in VT. Sorry, please take part in the next VT!
·Under German law the VT happens at the risk of the competitor and in any weather conditions.
